Social-Emotional Development and Youth (SEDAY) research group at MacEwan University is directed by Dr. Maria Di Stasio. The team comprises graduate and undergraduate research assistants and collaborating professors across multiple universities. Our research aims to understand aspects of the social and emotional development of youth in k-12 schools by investigating students' feelings of safety, support, self-determination, and personal relationships. Our focus is on empowering children and youth by providing schools with tools to support students' autonomy, social competence, and relationship skills.
